Makeup Bring Wonders...

I believe everyone should have chanced upon such picture below... The "Before" and "After" makeup photo.

The following picture had been circulating in Facebook. It's really motivating to see that makeup can do wonders and everyone have a chance to be prettier. It's not about ugly but if you want to do it.

This picture is to encourage people who don't makeup to have a change. Have some basic makeup to bring some colors into your life. =))

Nail Polish Chipping off...

Oh dear!!! My nail polish is chipping!!!

**(I peel, I peel, I peel them off)

Are you like me? When my nail polish start to chip, I will have the habit to peel them. I can't explain but i just love to peel them before i use a nail polish remover to remove them.

After reading this post, please STOP THAT!!!

Peeling of nail chip is actually harmful to the nail plate because you are worsening the situation of your nail. You are thining you nail too. You are putting your nail in a bad situation.

So, only use a nail remover to remove the nail polish or the chip. If there is any need, you can use a nail buffer to buffer off the chip.

How to maintain your makeup brush?

My Makeup Brushes!!!

Makeup brushes should be washed MONTHLY.

My two cent is that to get natural(animal-hair) makeup brushes instead of synthetic ones because it's more soft as compared to synthetic ones and also they are porous. Porous brushes will be able to pick up powder more easily, thus allows easy application. It' a good investment to invest in good brushes. They are good assistant to your daily makeup. =))

For all my makeup brushes, I do not use any soap or body wash to actually cleanse them. Personally speaking, I feel soap or body wash are too harsh for the brushes. They may cause strips to the brushes. Instead, I use my foam facial wash to actually clean them. Thereafter, just leave it on a clean tissue and allow them to air-dry. Another alternative will be to use shampoo instead of facial wash.

The above should be able to do the trick for your to maintain your makeup brushes.

I agree that using white shimmer pencil and eye shadow to contour the lower eye lid makes your eyes looks kawaii and pretty.(**Because i like to do that too) It gives the sparkling look.

Do not store sunblock!!!

Sunscreen can be expensive... But do not stock up unnessarily especially when there is a sales going on. Do not fall for the "Sale" or "Discount" temptation. Sunscreen do ages. And when they ages, their effectiveness goes down. In general, sunscreen has a shelf life of approximate of 2 years. You do not know how long the sunscreen had been on the store shelf and why is there a sales? Is the sales or discount to get rid of the stock that had been lying quite some time in the store?

Thus, do not be greedy and over purchase. Purchase an amount that meets your need. Only purchase more if you are planning to share them in a group outing or you may like to check the manufacturing date to know when the suncreen is manufactured and guage if you are able to finish them before 2 yrs.

Throw away sunscreen that is over 2 yrs. They are not going to give any benefit to your skin. Play it safe. Having healthy skin is better then saving that little penny to bring hurt to your skin. It's not worthwhile afterall.

Guess when age is catching up... One will start to have different kind of fear...

Fear for future...Fear of aging...Fear of responsibilities... So on...

In the past, I did not believe that a "Sunblock" is essential. However, as age is catching up.... I started to fear. I started to pay more attention to my skincare instead of focusing on makeup. Taking good care of your skin is more important rather then just looking pleasant with all the makeup.

As part of my skincare, I started to use sunblock. A essential that will slow down aging.

Sunblock is known to clog pores easily. The higher the SPF the easily it will clog your pores. With that, I decide to look for something around SPF30. For daily office and indoor use is more then sufficient.

After some sourcing, I decided to settled on Laneige Sun Care. There are a wide range of choices to cater to your need.

Importantly, it's not very costly. Just $38 for a tube. A tube that can last a long way.

My Oil-Free SunCare

I love the sunblock. The bottle has a unique and handy shape for easy grab. In addition, the small nozzle makes the application of sunblock a hygiene. Controlling the amount of sunblock to use is easy. No mess at all. There's also a light pleasant scent from the sunblock.

The Sunblock is light weight and watery. Making it easily to be absored. No sticky feeling. Importantly is the SPF value is sufficient for my daily usage and it do not clog the pores!!! Do not make the face oily.
