My Online Shopping Experience...
Online shopping had come so popular. Friends had been telling me their pleasant experiences about online shopping. However, online shopping do not give you a peace of mind.Tones of questions are probing in my mind. “Hmmm... online shopping? Where should I go to shop for the various stuff?” “Online shopping really that fantastic?”, “online shopping safe meh?”, “later pay already my items never come lo”... etc. All the questions floating in my mind are showstoppers to me taking the 1st step out to try online shopping. But miracally happens some day!!! The day when I took my 1st step out to make my 1st purchase. Peer pressure and word of mouth indeed help to brainwash my mind. =))
My 1st shopping experience started off from Gmarket. There are many items for you to buy. It’s a heaven for newbie. There have so many products. And importantly the products are “affordable”. A good place for beginner to start off their journey...
I bought quite a few items from Gmarket. I bought a Kate Spade iphone4 cover, diamond effect screen protector and sleep-on hair curler.
G-market is a good place for beginner because most of the sellers are responsible. You will get your items usually within few workings days unless imported from other country. I get my item and am really satisfy with them. They are just the same as those I get from outside but at a lower price.
My 1st online shopping experience is pleasant I guess. A total new learning experience for me. Yes! Indeed there’s pros and cons for online shopping. Both side of the coin needs to be weigh. There is always minor monetary risk involved in online shopping.( e.g. item lost or encounters with cheats) and also the time lapse of receiving the products.
Although there will be fear of item missing and all the doubts on your mind but the anticipation and excitement to receive the products can simply lighten your doubts. And also it brings you excitement when you reached home after a tire day of work!!!
Tips for online shopping:
1) Need ample time to do shopping online. There is high chances where products are similar but at different prices. You will need to have time to explore.
2) If you do not know which are the trustable sites to purchase from, please seek advices from friends or others who had past experience. They will often be able to give you valuable advise.
3) Buy from famous and known sources like Gmarket, ebay, blogshop etc.
4) When you are going to make a purchase – Do read every single details about the product you want to buy.
- Missing out some details will make you regret your purchase.
I saw the below picture and I'm in love with the top. Thus, did not go read and look at the pictures in details. Simply click purchase...
Lucky after accessorizing the top is still...... ~~~~OK!!! Not so bad after all!!!
5) Read the delivery time and which country it’s from.
- Because some product are available locally. Local availability will allows you to receive your products within days but overseas will took longer waiting.
I did not read the product is is from which country and i made order. Till NOW!!!! Still have not recieved the product. I'm still waiting !!!! The product is from malaysia. It took sooOOO long. I saw similar product online which is available from a local seller. But as a newbie, I'm careless and noob. Thus, make a wrong purchase from a malaysian seller. Keeping me waiting and waiting now. Hope it's not missing! *Pray.
6) Read the exchange policies.
7) Read other users reviews and ratings. If none, try to search online about the seller or seek advise from other friends if they are aware of the particular seller
8) Try purchasing 1 item from the seller if you do not have much information about their credibility. Thereafter, you can have a peace of mind.
As a starter, you will be engross in online shopping because you will find many fascinating products which are not able to be find at other places in Singapore. Not only that, you will able to get good deals if you explore. Of course! What you see may not be what you get. That’s the rule of online shopping. It all depends on your luck. Or maybe with experience you will be able to have a better gauge of the products you are buying.
