My Online Shopping Experience...

Online shopping had come so popular. Friends had been telling me their pleasant experiences about online shopping. However, online shopping do not give you a peace of mind.Tones of questions are probing in my mind. “Hmmm... online shopping? Where should I go to shop for the various stuff?” “Online shopping really that fantastic?”, “online shopping safe meh?”, “later pay already my items never come lo”... etc. All the questions floating in my mind are showstoppers to me taking the 1st step out to try online shopping. But miracally happens some day!!! The day when I took my 1st step out to make my 1st purchase. Peer pressure and word of mouth indeed help to brainwash my mind. =))

My 1st shopping experience started off from Gmarket. There are many items for you to buy. It’s a heaven for newbie. There have so many products. And importantly the products are “affordable”. A good place for beginner to start off their journey...

I bought quite a few items from Gmarket. I bought a Kate Spade iphone4 cover, diamond effect screen protector and sleep-on hair curler.

G-market is a good place for beginner because most of the sellers are responsible. You will get your items usually within few workings days unless imported from other country. I get my item and am really satisfy with them. They are just the same as those I get from outside but at a lower price.

My 1st online shopping experience is pleasant I guess. A total new learning experience for me. Yes! Indeed there’s pros and cons for online shopping. Both side of the coin needs to be weigh. There is always minor monetary risk involved in online shopping.( e.g. item lost or encounters with cheats) and also the time lapse of receiving the products.

Although there will be fear of item missing and all the doubts on your mind but the anticipation and excitement to receive the products can simply lighten your doubts. And also it brings you excitement when you reached home after a tire day of work!!!

Tips for online shopping:
1) Need ample time to do shopping online. There is high chances where products are similar but at different prices. You will need to have time to explore.
2) If you do not know which are the trustable sites to purchase from, please seek advices from friends or others who had past experience. They will often be able to give you valuable advise.
3) Buy from famous and known sources like Gmarket, ebay, blogshop etc.
4) When you are going to make a purchase – Do read every single details about the product you want to buy.
- Missing out some details will make you regret your purchase.

I saw the below picture and I'm in love with the top. Thus, did not go read and look at the pictures in details. Simply click purchase...

After Days... My top arrived.. I'm looking forward to the top(*Full of excitement) but after i opened the package I'm totally disappointed. The color differ from the one i saw...It's so DULL!!! After, I go back to the site and see and realised I actually overlook the last image. The seller did took a picture of the original clothes. It's my carelessness that makes my purchase a disappointment. Honest Seller!!! Careless Buyer!!! Who to blame? Myself...
Lucky after accessorizing the top is still...... ~~~~OK!!! Not so bad after all!!!


5) Read the delivery time and which country it’s from.
- Because some product are available locally. Local availability will allows you to receive your products within days but overseas will took longer waiting.

I did not read the product is is from which country and i made order. Till NOW!!!! Still have not recieved the product. I'm still waiting !!!! The product is from malaysia. It took sooOOO long. I saw similar product online which is available from a local seller. But as a newbie, I'm careless and noob. Thus, make a wrong purchase from a malaysian seller. Keeping me waiting and waiting now. Hope it's not missing! *Pray.

6) Read the exchange policies.
7) Read other users reviews and ratings. If none, try to search online about the seller or seek advise from other friends if they are aware of the particular seller
8) Try purchasing 1 item from the seller if you do not have much information about their credibility. Thereafter, you can have a peace of mind.

As a starter, you will be engross in online shopping because you will find many fascinating products which are not able to be find at other places in Singapore. Not only that, you will able to get good deals if you explore. Of course! What you see may not be what you get. That’s the rule of online shopping. It all depends on your luck. Or maybe with experience you will be able to have a better gauge of the products you are buying.

Say Bye to Hangnails...

What are hangnails?
Hangnails also known as agnails are small,torn pieces of dry skin surrounding your fingernail or toenail. Hangnails are often caused by dry skin(dry cuticles), biting of nails or improper cutting of fingernails. These can be prevented with proper supple of moisture to the skin.

When trying to remove hangnails try not to rip them off with your hands because additional skin may be ripped off of its attachment if its not broken off properly. Thus, it is advisable to use a nail clipper or nail scissor to remove them.

***Do not bite your nails because it aid in the forming of hangnails.

Personally, I also experience dry cuticles which may result in hangnails. For me, I'm using a "almond oil cuticle and nail balm" from "The Body Shop". I simply love it because of it's rich content. And importantly is that it works wonders!!! After few nights of continuous usage, there is a vastly improvement on my dry cuticles conditions. Not only of the rich content it had, it also had a sweet scent. =) )

I would use the balm before bedtime because it's the best time to feed the cuticles. I would spread a small amount of the balm on my nail area and its surrounding to moisture them. For better result, you may like to wear a gloves after applications.

The only shortcoming of this product is that some ladies will find it pricey because it's $10+. However, I feel that it's a "good to have" item and a "good investment". Getting a good product is better then getting alot of them cheap but useless product.

My First Gelish Medicure Experience...

During one of my shopping session with my Bestie, Ash.... One of the thing that attracted me was her glossy beautiful (*blink blink) nails... I'm so attracted to blink blink stuff so I asked her where did she get her nails done and how much it cost. And knew what? I'm so surprised that the price paid is simply affordable. It's only $30 for Gelish Medicure.

As many of you knew that Gelish Medicure usually ranges from $60-$90. Thus, its a good deal to have it done at such a affordable rate especially with the many benefits of Gelish medicure. Ladies who have not tried it can give it a try at the following address. You will definately love it and be hooked.

My Experience...
The overall service satisfaction of this shop is moderately excellent based on the price paid. The staff, Eileen is very friendly and would give valuable suggestion on how you should can have your nail done. The place is cosy - having those home feeling. During your medicure session you can have a mini movie session. The staff will prepare a movie for you to watch so that you won't be bored. During my medicure session I was watching 鬼也笑, a jack neo's production. A funny dumb typical Singapore movie. **Only managed to watch half of the movie(The movie had 2 story... only managed to finish watching 1 story) because my medicure session is only for 45min.


The whole experience is simply like watching a movie at home while having the luxurious of someone helping you with your nails. A good and relaxing session. Paying simply $40 (I took Express+Gelish medicure) it allows me to get my nails done, watching part of a movie, relax myself and also saving the hassel to do all the work myself. The money paid is worthy. If you are going to take the package of classic+gelish medicure it would cost another $60. But personally i feel that the classic one is good enough because you can simply put some almond oil surrounding your nails area to reduce the dryness of your fingers and save the money.

The only shortcoming of the shop is its located quite far and also I think there is a shortage of manpower. I only saw one staff there. Thus, it is important for you to make a booking before you go down to them place. This is to prevent any wasted trip.

So what is Gelish Medicure about?
Gelish manicure is a new nail technology. It is applied like a nail polish but has the added bonus of having the strength of gel. Gelish Nails are maintainence free for approx. 2-3 wks. You can carry on your daily activites at ease. Do not have to worry about the nails becoming dull, chip or crack. And Importantly it remains it's Glossiness!!!

No Damage on your nails!!! There is no damage on your nail during Gelish application. A based coat, 2 layers of colours and a shiny top coat is what you need to have a perfect finishing. Thus, there is no need to worry of smudging your nails when you are on your way out of the shop.
